1994 - First atoms of element 110 produced.

Scientists at the Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung (GSI) in Darmstadt, Germany detected the evidence of four atoms of element 110. They were produced by bombarding lead with nickel ions. After the IUPAC recognized their discovery, they named the elementdarmstadtium.
